Hi --

Glad you liked the confab.

The Prediction Markets Cluster is your industry consortium and worldwide prediction markets community.

We've been pursuing the research and building the networks for years.

Interesting that IFTF picked them up. I originally proposed them at a IFTF Future Commons meeting and was summarily dismissed. Nice work getting them in. (I have since excused myself from Future Commons. Way too political and personality-based which interferes with the work on the future.)

Out next research cluster on Prediction Markets is at AEI-Brookings in Washington, DC.

Cheers,

John

Excellent summary. Thanks. Glad you found the event valuable. I look forward to following OpenEx.

as a corporate person intent on setting up such a market in our company, i was surprised at the lack of practical $$ information. i'm writing my business case now and i need to have some cost estimate.

i'm just having a hard time finding useful, reliable, on-the-record estimates for what this could reasonable cost so i can make a funding request.
