Working Offline
I'm commuting a lot more frequently on the CalTrain that runs from San Francisco to Palo Alto. It's a great time to catch up on email, etc, but not having live Internet access means I can't catch up on blogs or web news sites.
There's some cool tools worth sharing though for you others who find that the notion of "ubiquitous broadband" isn't quite ready for primetime (even here in the Bay Area no less). Squeet is a great, free (and as yet ad-free) service that delivers blog's RSS feeds via emai. And the latest in a long line of fantastic Firebfox extensions, ScrapBook lets you drag and drop URLs to a sidebar for offline viewing.
Can't wait for that next 11-hour flight to Europe...
p.s. And while we're on nifty offline tools, how about a Spotlight plug-in that lets you index and search your del.icio.us bookmarks?
