I've been a close observer of how information travels throughout corporations. The uptake of information syndication methods, like RSS, has been very slow. Yet RSS makes much sense, its a hybrid of push and pull, which increases the efficiency of information flow, making sure you get what you need, and minimizes the deluge of inconsequential data. Its becoming more available for all sorts of online sites. One of the problems with RSS is that its relatively new, and it isn't integrated into common browsers and e-mail systems. All that will soon change, Microsoft and others will soon make RSS methods readily available. Information Week has a great overview of the approach, and examples of companies, like Disney, that are using it already
